Sarah L. Wright, 90, of the 1200 block of E. Eva Blvd., died Jan. 4, 1995, in Sentara Leigh Hospital.
She was born in Portsmouth and was the widow of Rufus Sylvester Wright Jr.
Survivors include two daughters, Geraldine Reynolds and Shirley Trotter, both of Chesapeake; four sons, Clarence Wright, Richard Wright and Joseph L. Wright, all of Portsmouth, and Junius Wright of Bronx, N.Y.; 23 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; two beloved daughters-in-law, Cleopatra Wright of Portsmouth and Hessie Wright of Chesapeake; three beloved sons-in-law, James Trotter and Willie Reynolds, both of Chesapeake, and Leon Cowell of Norfolk; two special nieces, Pearlene Williams and Mildred Pierce, both of Portsmouth; and other relatives.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m Monday in St. Mark RZUA Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. Alvin B. Thomas. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will begin at noon Sunday in Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth. The body will be taken to the church at noon Monday.
