Robert Vlin, 73, of the 3000 block of Brookbridge Road, a retired engineer, died Jan. 5, 1995, in his residence.
Mr. Vlin was born in France and was a member of the French Resistance and the OSI. He retired eight years ago from Concoa Controls Corp. of America after 25 years.
Survivors include his wife, Karla Mann Vlin; a daughter, Francoise Vlin of New Jersey; two stepdaughters, Mia Mann and Denese Metcalf, both of Virginia Beach; a son, Micheal Vlin of New Jersey; a stepson, Aram Mann of Virginia Beach; a sister, Jeanne Bourdin of France; and a host of friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Vlin, 3300 Brookbridge Road, Virginia Beach, conducted by Hospice Chaplain Mrs. Chandler Dennis. Pretlow's Funeral Home is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice Foundation at Home Care, for the extreme kindness they have shown Mr. Vlin and his family, 3386 Holland Road, Suite 102, Virignia Beach, Va. 23452, in memory of Robert Vlin.
