Walter H. Rees Sr., 77, of the 5100 block of Salisbury Mews, a retired planner/estimator, died Jan. 8, 1995, in Williamsburg.
Mr. Rees was born in Hopewell, Va., and was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
Survivors include his wife, Emma W. Rees; two sons, Walter H. Rees Jr. of Mechanicsville, Va., and George D. Rees of Indian Harbor Beach, Fla.; a sister, Alice Tadlock of Norfolk; a brother, Ben P. Rees Jr. of Georgia; one granddaughter, Anna Margaret Rees, and one stepgranddaughter, Shannon Myers.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Williamsburg Community Hospital, 301 Monticello Ave., Box 8700, Williamsburg, Va. 23187-8700.
