Elmer Boone of the 28400 block of Freeman St., died Jan. 7, 1995, in his home after a short illness.
A native of Southampton County, he was the son of the late Willie Boone and Martilla Sears Boone. He was a retired laborer and a member of Mount Tabor Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Luney of Oxnard, Calif. and Odell W. Shearin of Boykins; 10 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Mount Tabor Baptist Church by the Rev. R.S. Steele. Burial will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery. Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home, Franklin, is in charge.
