Claude E. Porter died January 12, 1995, at his residence.
A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Porter retired as an administrator after 33 years with Norfolk Public Schools.
He was the son of John Wesley and Etta Mae Hatfield Porter. He is survived by a brother, a sister, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews.
A chapel service will be held at noon on Tuesday at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norview Avenue, Norfolk.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
