It is a sad reflection on our society when people use a good portion of a day trying to get a glimpse of the rich and famous (``Two stars become one in Norfolk,'' news, Jan. 8).
Would these same spectators be so willing to brave bad weather and use their time to help the homeless or assist a youth group? All in all, it shows me that, again, the focus is on rich and/or famous people. Far too much media attention is given to that sort of thing. This in turn influences the priorities of the people comprising our communities.
