A man who died Saturday after being shot in the face was identified Sunday.
Police said John R. Smiley Jr., 28, of Norfolk, was visiting his girlfriend's home in the 800 block of St. Paul's Blvd. when he was shot at about 4:30 p.m.
He was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he died Saturday night.
Police have offered no motive for the slaying and no suspects have been arrested.
