Maj. Malcolm J. Vanderhoff, U.S. Army (Ret.), 73, died Jan. 16, 1995, in a local hospital.
He was born in Titusville, Pa., and was a member of First Baptist Church of Norfolk. He was also retired from civil service and was a veteran of World War II and Korea.
Survivors include his wife, Gertrude M. Vanderhoff; four daughters, Colly Legarreta of Springville, Va., Vicki Sandritter of Raleigh, N.C., Susan Graham of Rocky Mount, N.C., and Kaye Vanderhoff of Virginia Beach; two sons, Larry Vanderhoff of Lansing, Kan., and Steven Vanderhoff of Richmond, Va.; three sisters; one brother; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by Dr. Robert E. Reccord. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Quantico National Cemetery. The family will remain at the funeral home today after the service until 9 p.m. to greet friends.
