Arlene Helen Bergers, 77, of the 9600 block of Norfolk Ave., died Jan. 18, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Bergers was a native of Harrisonburg, Va. She was the widow of Edward F. Bergers. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Chesterfield, Va. Mrs. Bergers was a member of American Legion Fleet 327 and VFW 3160 Ladies Auxiliary a member of AARP, and former member of The Temple Baptist Church in Norfolk.
Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Cherry Oliver of Norfolk, Va., Frances Cherry Nobles and her husband Clayton of Virginia Beach, Va.; one son, Dr. Richard Cherry and his wife Dr. Rose of Deland, Florida; one sister, Margaret Lampman of Norfolk, Va.; seven grandchildren, Clayton Nobles, Jr., Lesley Nobles, Richard Cherry, Jr., Blakley Cherry, Edward Cherry, Harry Oliver IV, Theresa Oliver Key, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 1995, at Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Carl Cosslett. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of donor's choice. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, are handling arrangements.
