Gladys Council Moreland, 87, died Jan. 18, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Mrs. Moreland was born in Elm City, N.C., and was a Baptist. She was the widow of Lloyd F. Moreland.
Survivors include three daughters, Maude E. Beckwith of Tampa, Fla., Daisy L. Lassiter and Margaret C. Edgerton, both of Virginia Beach; a son, Edward E. Council of Chesapeake; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Rueben D. Council.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by Dr. Paul D. Watlington Jr. Burial will be in Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
