Lizzie Pearce, 98, of Route 3, died Jan. 21, 1995, in Chowan Hospital.
Mrs. Pearce was born in Chowan County. She was a member of Rocky Hock Baptist Church. Her husband was the late William H. Pearce and her mother and father were the late Augustus and Mittie Halsey Bass.
Survivors include two stepdaughters, Lizzie Perry of Edenton and Delcie Miller of Hertford; and three sisters, Lessie Layton, Cora Evans and Lena Bunch, all of Edenton.
Funeral services will be today at 2:30 p.m. in the Rocky Hock Baptist Church with the Rev. Meredith Garrett officiating. Burial will follow in the Pearce Family Cemetery. Evans/Williford-Barham Funeral Home in Edenton is in charge of arrangements.
