Lydia S. Affeldt, 91, of the 100 block of Gillis Road, died Jan. 21, 1995.
She was a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and was the widow of Harley A. Affeldt. She was a member of Cradock United Methodist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star since 1938, and Victory Chapter (NU)16 since 1941.
Survivors include two sons, Harley and wife, Virginia, of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Bill and wife, Dot, of Atlanta, Ga.; three grandsons, Billy and wife, Libby, of Atlanta, Ga., Jim of Norfolk, and Bobby and wife, Debbie, of Chesapeake; and three great-granddaughters, Jessica, Allison and Amanda.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Cradock United Methodist Church, by the Rev. George H. Close. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Hwy. Chapel, is handling the arrangements. There will be an Eastern Star service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home today, where the family will remain until 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations can be made to the Cradock United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or the American Heart Association.
