Hiawatha E. Blood, 75, of Dominion Ave., died Jan. 21, 1995, in his residence.
Mr. Blood had retired from the U.S. Navy as a chief warrant officer W4 after 30 years. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Adeline C. Blood of Norfolk; a son, David D. Blood and his wife, Ann R. Blood of Norfolk; a sister, Ruth DuBuc of Nashua, N.H.; one grandchild, Rachel E. Blood of Norfolk; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church by the Rev. Daniel H. Quiram. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church or Scleroderma Research Foundation.
