Marie Raia Sikes, 64, died Jan. 22, 1995, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mrs. Sikes was a native of Jersey City, N.J. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Virginia Beach. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She was retired from the Civil Service after 15 years of service.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Sikes of Virginia Beach; a sister, Delores Cruise of Queens, N.Y.; one brother, Joseph Raia of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 1995 at Holy Family Catholic Church by the Rev. Richard Mooney. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Norfolk. There will be a visitation in the funeral home Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made to the Holy Family Catholic Church Building Fund, 1279 N. Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach.
