Ledna Bea Johnson (Shortridge-Looney), 76, of the 3000 block of Bonner Drive, a homemaker, died Jan. 22, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Grundy, Va. She was the widow of Harrell G. Johnson and was affiliated with Azalea Garden Church of God. She was an avid bowler at Fairlanes - Pinboys.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Hober of Norfolk and Audrey Tackett of Chesapeake; three sons, Robert E. Looney of Deel, Va., Richard R. Looney and Butch A. Looney, both of Norfolk; four sisters, Mrs. June Howell of Indian Gap, Va., Mrs. Lola Skeen of Baltimore, Md., Mrs. Fay Delrosario of Norfolk and Mrs. Marline Rife of Pilgram Knob, Va.; six brothers, Ed Shortridge, John Shortridge Jr. and Fred Shortridge, all of Vansant, Va., Hassel Shortridge of Anderson, S.C., Carl Shortridge of Grundy, Va. and Paul Shortridge of London, Ky.; 20 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday night from 7 to 8 p.m. ILLUSTRATION: Personal Photo
