ABU BAKR

Abu Bakr, 47, of the 1200 block of Thistle Ave., died Jan. 21, 1995, in DePaul Medical Center.

Mr. Bakr was born in Norfolk and was employed with International Longshoreman's Association (NU)1248. He was a member of the Islamic faith. He attended Booker T. Washington High School.

Survivors include a daughter, Dianna Robinson; two sons, Troy O. Teel and Antonio L. Teel Sr.; his mother, Odessa Welch, all of Norfolk; 11 grandchildren; a friend, Gloria V. Chapel of Norfolk; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Metropolitan Funeral Service Chapel by the Rev. Joseph Lassiter. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Family and friends will assemble at 1218 Thistle St., Norfolk, at 1 p.m. Thursday for the funeral processional to the chapel.
