Thelma O. Whitaker, 78, of Richmond, died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 1995.
She is survived by her husband, Marion H. ``Dick'' Whitaker Sr.; two sons, Marion H. ``Dick'' Whitaker Jr. of Virginia Beach and Barry Lee Whitaker of Richmond; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Her remains rest at the Parham Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Road, Richmond, where the family will receive friends Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Wistar Heights United Methodist Church, Richmond. Interment will be in Westhampton Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
