Lem Edwin Edge, 55, of the 1000 block of Marsh Causeway, died Wednesday, January 25, 1995, at his residence.
Mr. Edge retired from the U.S. Army after 24 years of service and was retired from St. Brides Correctional Center. He was a protestant.
He was the son of the late Holmer Edge & Elliewon Edge-Allen of New Martinsville, W.V.
Survivors include his wife, Judith May Edge; 3 daughters, Barbara Ann Torkey of Va. Beach, Carol Lynn McVickers & Susan Audrey Jackson both of Clearwater, Fla.; a son, Joey Edwin Edge of Knotts Island; a stepdaughter, Barbara Jo Grimstead of Knotts Island; a brother, Joseph Owen Edge of New Martinsville, W.Va., and 6 grandchildren including Jessie James Wilson of Knotts Island.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday in Knotts Island United Methodist Church with Rev. Frank Jennings officiating. Myers Funeral Home in Sistersville, W.Va., is handling out-of-town arrangements. Twiford Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake, is handling local arrangements.
