A Hampton teenager who was shot Wednesday afternoon died a few hours later in a hospital, police said. Mark Keith Parker, 17, was with a friend at Smith and Shell streets when they were caught in a barrage of gunfire, police said.
The 22-year-old friend, who was not identified by police, was treated for a wound of the left thigh, police spokesman Donnie Moore said.
Police were looking for three black men in their late teens or early 20s, Moore said. They were seen leaving in a blue-green car, possibly a Honda Civic or a Ford Escort with Virginia license tags, he said.
