Carrie E. Smith of the 400 block of Delaware Ave. died Feb. 1, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Smith had been employed with Norfolk city schools and was a member of Wesley Union AME Zion Church.
Survivors include her husband, Arlee Smith; a daughter, Shirley Rogers of Norfolk; three nieces, Evelyn Smith of Norfolk and Marion E. Murphy and Jerelene McNeely, both of San Diego, Calif.; a grandson, Samuel E. Rogers of Norfolk; two sisters-in-law, Geraldine Burden of Portsmouth and Emma Smith of Norfolk; two brothers-in-law, David Smith of Norfolk and Willie Burden of Portsmouth; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Wesley Union AME Zion Church, Norfolk, by Rev. Shannon. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
