Mary F. Mathews, 90, formerly of 133 Bangor Ave., a retired cook, died Feb. 2, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Mathews was born in Rapahoe, N.C. She was a Freewill Baptist and the widow of Marion B. Mathews.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Carson of Burgaw, N.C.; a son, Earl James Mathews of Dequincy, La.; two sisters, Annie Mae Bland of Burgaw, N.C., and Lula Bell Rose of New Mexico; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Rosewood Memorial Park by the Rev. Daniel S. Beiler. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
