James ``Mac'' Maxwell Jones Jr., 86, of the 100 block of Beech Tree Trail, a retired vice president of Nations Bank, died Feb. 5, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Jones was born in Norfolk. He had retired from NationsBank in 1973 after 46 years. He was a member of Rosemont Christian Church, Chesapeake and the South Norfolk Better Business Club.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Rountrey Jones; a daughter, Jacquelyn J. Chronister of Kitty Hawk, N.C.; a sister, Dorothy Koonce of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren, Wayne J. Chronister Jr. of Chesapeake and James M. Chronister of Suffolk; and four great-grandchildren, Amber, Lacy and Marisa Chronister, all of Chesapeake and Matthew Chronister of Suffolk.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Robert Harrell. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk. The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m.
