NOT ALL ART'S IN ENGLISH

I find it unfortunate that Mark Mobley, the critic who was chosen to review the opera Simon Bolivar, is not bilingual and hence could not give an appropriate review of the program. How could Mr. Mobley have the audacity to criticize the fact this this opera was written in Spanish with English supertitles?

Does everything cultural have to be written in one's own language (English) in order for it to be appreciated?

I see that Mr. Mobley has noted upcoming operas, many of which are not in English and will have supertitles in English. Will his review of these operas contain the line, ``Too bad it wasn't in English, because the audience could have understood it without having to raise their heads to read the supertitles''?

Mr. Mobley should come into the real world. Everyone does not speak English, nor do they have to.
