I support Governor Allen's proposed tax cuts for businesses and individuals.
My husband and I both work to support our four children. Except for basic services such as public safety, highways and possibly education, I feel that we are in a better position to allocate our funds than the commonwealth.
If we are allowed to keep more of our hard-earned money, we can spend it to provide more opportunities for our children's education, donating to our church and supporting charitable causes.
As a business owner and a college business instructor, I know that when you cut taxes on businesses, you create greater tax revenue from other sources. If you reduce my paperwork and financial burden to the commonwealth, I can employ more people, thereby creating a greater tax base for the city and state.
