Moddred Pegram, 70, of the 1500 block of E. Berkley Ave., died Feb. 6, 1995 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Pegram was born in Roper, N.C. She was a member of Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church and was the widow of Clarence Pegram Sr.
Survivors include a son, Clarence E. Pegram Jr. of Chesapeake; a stepson, Mr. William Lassiter of Norfolk; two sisters, Mary Chesson of Norfolk and Mary Lucas of California; grandchildren Vinesh C. Pegram, Clarence E. Pegram III and Tinesha C. Pegram, all of Chesapeake; daughter-in-law Shirley Pegram of Chesapeake; sisters-in-law Mary Massey and Susan Pegram; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 2899 Welcome Road, Chesapeake, by Dr. Donald Taylor. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Family and friends will assemble at 1500 E. Berkley Ave., (NU)1B, Norfolk, at 10 a.m. Friday for funeral processional to the church. Metropolitan Funeral Service is handling arrangements.
