Jasper M. Benton, 90, of Rt. 1, died Wednesday morning, February 8, 1995.
Mr. Benton was born in Gates County. The son of the late Junious Allen and Mrs. Sledia Taylor Benton, he had retired after 40 years as a carman with Seaboard Railroad. He was a member of Savage's United Methodist Church.
Surviving is one niece, Marie W. Jones of Corapeake.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in Savage's United Methodist Church by the Rev. Anne Giles Benson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may join the family Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, and other times at the residence.
