JAMES A. RODGERS

James A. Rodgers of the 800 block of Coolidge St., a retired supervisor, died Feb. 5, 1995.

Mr. Rodgers was born in Norfolk County. He retired from the city of Portsmouth after 22 years.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Rodgers; four daughters, Annette R. Weaver, Shelia R. Ayalia, Yelonda R. Wilson and Evonne R. Mann; three sons, James A. Rodgers Jr., Darnel L. Rodgers and Freddie Rodgers; three stepdaughters, Marilyn Epps, Patricia Staton and Geraldine Outten; two brothers, William Rodgers and Joseph Rodgers; 31 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Centennial Baptist Church by the Rev. Robert Addison. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. Fisher Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
