Donald L. Sanders, 62, a retired accountant, died of cancer in Alexandria Hospital on Wednesday, February 8th, 1995.
Mr. Sanders was the owner of Accounting Associates, Inc., until his retirement in 1992. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Sanders was an active member of District (NU)27 Toastmasters and Men of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority. Mr. Sanders served First Presbyterian Church of Norfolk as a deacon youth advisor and Sunday school teacher for many years before moving to Alexandria.
Survivors include his wife, Helen; Children; Larry Sanders of Lorton, Va., and Teresa Sanders of Alexandria; one grandson, Michael Lawrence Sanders and a much loved mother-in-law, Marie Wible of Va. Beach.
Friends may call Sunday, February 12, 3-5 p.m., at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2701 Cameron Mills Road, in Alexandria. Services will be Monday, February 13, 11 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Westminster Presbyterian Church or St. Jude's Children Hospital. Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
