Worley T. Smith Sr., 75, died Feb. 10, 1995, in a Suffolk hospital.
A native of Benhams, Va., he retired in 1973 from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a Protestant, a member of Lake Drummond Masonic Lodge (NU)178 and a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby R. Smith; a son, Worley T. Smith Jr. of Henrico, N.C.; three sisters, Pauline Bazemore, Louise Begin and Billie Jones; a brother, J. Donald Smith; two grandchildren, Traci Smith and Marc Smith; a niece, Anne J. Gwaltney; and five nephews, Paul A. Smith, Joseph Bazemore, Ray Bazemore, Kenneth Bazemore and Robert Jones.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel, with Masonic rites, by the Rev. Bill Kincaid. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
