Susan Kneeburg Barham, 66, of Carney Farm Lane, died Feb. 12, 1995 in her home.
Mrs. Barham, a native of Portsmouth, was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Marie Ross Kneeburg, and was a lifetime member and trustee of Monumental United Methodist Church. She was a founding member and past president of the Portsmouth Service League; and a member and past president of the Elizabeth River Garden Club.
Mrs. Barham was active in The Garden Club of Virginia, was a member of its Restoration Committee, and was an accredited flower show judge. She was also a member of the Board of Directors of The Norfolk Society of Arts.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Edward A. Barham Jr.; three children, Susan Ross Beale of Columbia, S.C., Edward A. Barham III of Portsmouth and Mary Augusta Barham of Richmond; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, in Monumental United Methodist Church by the Revs. Raymond H. Edmonds and R. Beverly Watkins. Burial will be private in Oak Grove Cemetery with Foster Funeral Home in charge. The family will be at home.
In lieu of flowers, her family suggests that memorial donations be made to The Garden Club of Virginia, Kent-Valentine House; or to Monumental United Methodist Church.
