JOHN H. WYNNE SR.

John Hamilton Wynne Sr., 92, formerly of the 300 block of Chandler Harper Drive and a recent resident of the Churchland House, died Sunday, Feb. 12, 1995 in his residence.

Mr. Wynne was a native of Laurens County, Ga. and a widower of Deludie Wynne. He was a retired combination welder for Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church, Western Branch Masonic Lodge No. 189 and Portsmouth Scottish Rite Bodies.

Survivors include one daughter, Jane W. Tribble of Kitty Hawk, N.C.; two sons, John H. Wynne Jr. of Kitty Hawk, N.C. and Edward L. Wynne of Portsmouth; two sisters, Ruby W. Hanes of Portsmouth and Madie Moffet of Chesapeake; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted Tuesday, Feb. 14, 1995 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Tom Potter in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel with Masonic rites. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the Sturtevant Funeral Home tonight from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
