Mary Hayman Bauer, 75, died Feb. 9, 1995, in her residence.
Mrs. Bauer was born in Norfolk. She had retired from Stamford Hospital, Stamford, Conn., as a unit secretary and had also retired from Excelsior Hardware in Stamford. She was a Protestant and a graduate of the College of William and Mary, Norfolk Division. She had performed volunteer work at DePaul Hospital and was a worker in the Democratic party.
Survivors include a daughter, Susannah Satten, and son-in-law, Steve Satten of Saugerties, N.Y.; two sons, Thomas S. Bauer and Walter Wolf Bauer Jr., both of Stamford, Conn.; two grandchildren, Vanessa and Travis Satten, both of Saugerties, N.Y.; and an aunt, Mae Lundi of Portsmouth.
A memorial graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Frances Moody. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling arrangements. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. The family will receive friends after the service in the fellowship hall of Christ United Methodist Church on Bayview Blvd., Norfolk.
