Jennie S. ``Miss Jennie'' Wallace, 91, of the 1600 block of Lansing Ave., a retired laundry worker, died Feb. 10, 1995, in Maryview Hospital.
Mrs. Wallace was born in Franklin. She had retired from (N.R.M.C.) Portsmouth Naval Hospital after 25 years. She was the widow of Percy Wallace and was a member of Third Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was also a member of No. 1 Usher Board of the church. She was a member of Rachel Tent 8, Order of Tents.
Survivors include two grandchildren, Charlotte J. Alexander of Lexington, Va., and Delreese L. Eason of Portsmouth; a great-grandchild, Justina Y. Eason of Portsmouth; other relatives, in-laws, and special friends, Lloyd, Josie and Anrienne Porter of Portsmouth.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Third Baptist Church by the Rev. Joe B. Fleming and the Rev. Gregory Thomas. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Corprew Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
