George W. Nelz, 76, of the 8200 block of Simmons Drive and formerly of 255-07 61st Ave. in Little Neck, N.Y., died Feb. 12, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mr. Nelz was born in Queens, N.Y., and was retired from the personnel department of Texaco. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Little Neck, N.Y., Disabled American Veterans and American Philatelic Society. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the 77th Rainbow Division.
Survivors include a sister, Ruth N. Wrightson of Norfolk; a brother, Joseph H. Nelz of Clifton Park, N.Y.; three nieces, Barbara, Judy and Kathy; and four nephews, David, James, John and Edward.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Hollomon Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. Charles Blalock. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
