JOHN WEATHERBURN

John Weatherburn, 76, of Granby Park, a retired first class mechanic, died Feb. 13, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.

Mr. Weatherburn was born in Whitinsville, Mass., and was the widower of Gertrude Weatherburn. He was retired from the Greyhound Bus Co. and was also retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War and was a past post commander and member of American Legion Post (NU)60; Knights of Pythias Charity Lodge (NU)10; Norfolk Masonic Lodge (NU)1; and American Legion Post (NU)204.

Survivors include two sons, Carlton M. Weatherburn of Norfolk and John W. Weatherburn of Midlothian, Va.; a sister, Edith Albin of Oxbridge, Mass.; two brothers, Harry Weatherburn of Portland, Maine, and Gordon Weatherburn of Oxbridge, Mass.; a sister-in-law, Marion Zink of Norfolk; and four grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The fmaily will receive friends in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
