John Randolph ``Ranny'' Coleman, 91, of Sunset Drive, a retired Norfolk and Western employee, died Feb. 11, 1995.
Mr. Coleman, a native of Bluefield, W.Va., had been residing in Norfolk since 1951. He worked for the Norfolk and Western Railroad for 47 years, retiring in 1968 from the coach-yard as an electrician gang leader. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Bramwell, W.Va.
Mr. Coleman was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Laura Rye Coleman.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, David and Linda Coleman of Roanoke; a sister, Ruth Jones of Cocoa Beach, Fla.
A funeral will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 1995, in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, at 11 a.m. Burial will be Thursday in Monte Vista Park, Mercer County, W.Va. Friends may join the family in the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m.
