Jennifer Leilani Scott, 14, of the 22200 block of Riverpoint Trail, died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 1995, in Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters, Norfolk.
Jennifer was an eighth-grade student at Smithfield Middle School and a member of Christ Episcopal Church and the Jr. E.Y.C. She was a member of the 4H-Equi-Kids, Virginia Beach, and the Special Olympics, Smithfield chapter.
Survivors include her mother, Diane Meredith Scott; father, Richard Thurman Scott; maternal grandparents, Julian and Helen Meredith, all of Carrollton; and paternal grandmother, Mrs. Alexandria Scott of Newport News.
A funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday in Christ Episcopal Church, Smithfield, with the Rev. Bill Lantz officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends in Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the National Niemann-Pick Disease Foundation, 2684-E Buckner, Fort Meade, Md. 20755.
