George Robert Nebb, 68, of the 4300 block of Neptune Ave., died Monday in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Nebb was born in old Norfolk County and was the son of the late Lawrence Nebb and Jennie Archer Nebb Phillips. He had retired from the Norfolk Naval Air Station as an aircraft mechanic after 33 1/2 years of service. He was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey Hines Nebb of Chesapeake; one daughter and her husband, Janet Bowden Quinn and William L. Quinn of Martinsville, Va.; two sons, William Earl Nebb and Donald Lee Nebb and his wife, Cheryl Elaine Nebb, all of Chesapeake; one sister, Marjorie Nebb Curtis of Chesapeake; and three grandchildren, Audrey Denise Bowden of Martinsville, Va., and Kelly Jordan Nebb and Coleman Lee Nebb, both of Chesapeake.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Matthew's Catholic Church by Father Timothy Drake. Interment will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
