SUFFOLK CRIME REPORT

DISTRICT A

Petit larceny: 3200 block Bridge Road, Feb. 8, someone pumped $17.28 worth of gas and left without paying.

DISTRICT C

Grand larceny: 100 block Clay St., Feb. 2, someone entered a vehicle and removed a green coat valued at $25; a Kingson CB radio, $40; a AM/FM cassette player, $20; a red tool box containing assorted hand tools, $80; a 35mm camera, $35; a military knife, $45; a stereo speaker, $50.

Breaking and entering (church): 100 block Pine St., Feb. 3, someone pried open the front door. Nothing was removed.

Embezzlement: 2800 block Pruden Blvd., Feb. 3, two people removed Virginia Lottery tickets worth more than $1,200. Charges are pending.

Vandalism: 600 block 3rd Ave., Feb. 4, someone broke out the driver's side rear window, then fled the scene in a white Pontiac.

Armed robbery: 400 block Market St., Feb. 5, someone entered the store and pointed a chrome-plated, .22-caliber pistol at the clerk and stated, ``Give it up.'' The clerk handed over $182.01, and the suspect fled on foot.

Lost or stolen city decal: 200 block Lee St., Feb. 6, someone bought a 1995 city decal that was either lost or stolen.

Lost or stolen: 2300 block Godwin Boulevard, Feb. 6, someone reports that his Virginia state license plate was lost or stolen at an unknown location.

Grand larceny: 1000 North Main St., Feb. 7, someone cut the lock off the back door of a vehicle and removed one green, 8-hp Briggs and Statton generator and one red Sandborne air compressor. ``Fleetwood homes'' is engraved in both.

Vandalism: 1100 block Holland Road, Feb. 7, someone complains that during the past several weeks, he has discovered numerous acts of vandalism that amount to about $600.

Lost or stolen dog: 100 block Chestnut St., Feb. 8, someone's 6-month-old black and white female pitbull was taken. It was chained to a tree at home.

DISTRICT D

Grand larceny: 300 block Carolina Road, Feb. 2, someone entered a vehicle and removed a Motorola radio valued at $200; a NAPA car battery, $65; and other items.

Assault and battery: 1300 block Sierra Drive, Feb. 2, when two people got into an argument, one struck the other with a metal baseball bat. A laceration required stitches.

Larceny of firearm: 100 block Greenfield Crescent, Feb. 3, someone took a Bersa S.A., model .383, caliber .380 semi-automatic gun. The social security number was etched on the grip of the weapon.

Breaking and entering (house): 700 block Hollywood Ave., Feb. 3, someone cut the porch screen and removed an 89 Honda moped.

Petit larceny: 200 block Carolina Road, Feb. 3, someone removed a dark gray Motorola microtac 550 cellular telephone valued at $139.

Armed robbery: 100 block Pinner St., Feb. 3, someone attacked a man, striking him several times in the head with a black and brown automatic. $40 was taken, and the suspect, joined by two other men, fled the scene.

Vandalism: 100 block East Washington St., Feb. 4, someone broke a front picture window of a house.

Breaking and entering (church): 100 block Franklin St., Feb. 4, someone pried open the side door of a church and gained entry. Several doors in the kitchen and upstairs were opened, but nothing was removed.

Assault and battery: 700 block East Pinner St., someone was struck on the face with a handgun, causing a cut to the right side of the face.

Grand larceny: 500 block Wekiva Ave., Feb. 6, someone reports that he found the rear door to his vacant residence pried open. Removed were a Magic Chef microwave oven, a white Hot Point gas range, a white deep freeze, a dining room set, a wooden cabinet, dishes and a seven-piece, white bedroom set.

Armed robbery (attempted): 300 block Pinner St., Feb. 6, after making a delivery to Pinner St., two men demanded money. As the victim ran from the scene, he heard a gunshot, possibly a small .22 or .32.

Grand larceny: 200 block Carolina Road, Feb. 7, someone cut the locks off a truck bed tool box and removed a large assortment of hand tools.

Breaking and entering (house): 1800 block Feeney Ave., Feb. 8, someone forced the dead bolt lock through the rear door frame and entered a house. However, nothing was removed.

Breaking and entering (house): 400 block Woodruff St., Feb. 8, someone was awakened by noises at her bedroom window. The screen was cut and pulled away from the window. A suspect was observed running from the scene.

Grand larceny: 200 block Prospect Road, Feb. 8, someone entered the transmitter building and removed several pieces of electronic equipment and vandalized the property. The items removed were valued at over $200. The damaged and destroyed equipment was valued in excess of several thousand dollars.

Grand larceny: 300 block Lewis St., Feb. 8, someone broke open a vehicle window and pried open the trunk. Items removed were a speaker box valued at $149 and an amplifier valued at $149.

Breaking and entering (house): 100 block Woodrow Ave., Feb. 8, someone kicked in the rear door of a house and removed $3 in quarters.

Petit larceny: 400 block Carolina Road, Feb. 8, someone pumped $14.89 worth of gas and left without paying.

DISTRICT E

Grand larceny: 1800 block Holland Road, Feb. 3, someone entered a residence and removed several pieces of jewelry.

DISTRICT F

Petit larceny: 6400 block Whaleyville Boulevard, Feb. 5, someone removed $12.11 worth of gas and one case of Budweiser beer without paying for the items. The suspect was filmed on video tape.

Lost or stolen: 2900 Carolina Road, Feb. 8, someone reports that his Suffolk city decal was lost or stolen while his car was being repaired. by CNB
