WILLIAM S. WEBB SR.

William S. ``Lassie'' Webb Sr., of the 7500 block of Diven St., a retired canteen manager, died Feb. 13, 1995 in a local hospital.

Mr. Webb was born in Norfolk. He retired from the Naval Exchange after 36 years and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and a former trustee.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sallie Mae Webb; three daughters, Diane Boone and Laverne Johnson, both of Norfolk, and Donna Alexander of Virginia Beach; two sons, Herbert L. Webb of Norfolk and William S. Webb Jr. of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Virgie Rivers of Norfolk and Goldie Hawes of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a brother, Council Webb of Norfolk; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other devoted relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. Keith S. Cook. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Metropolitan Funeral Service is handling arrangements. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Family and friends will assemble at 7520 Diven St. (Titustown), Norfolk, at 11 a.m. Saturday for funeral processional to the church. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
