For the second consecutive year, Norfolk Christian High School has won a prestigious statewide competition that quizzes students on the U.S. Constitution.
The 19 students in Jim Hinshaw's advanced placement government class will represent Virginia in April in the national ``We The People'' competition, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education.
Hinshaw's team, earlier a regional winner, competed Tuesday against four public schools - Fairfax High, Patrick Henry High in Hanover County, Prince Edward County High in Farmville and Greensville High School in Emporia.
The students were scored by lawyers and judges on constitutional issues such as states' rights and unfunded mandates from Congress, and on legal questions posed by television coverage of trials. by CNB
