SILAS KIAH JR.

Silas Kiah Jr. of the 1900 block of Robert Hall Blvd., a retired electrician, died Feb. 14, 1995, in Chesapeake.

Mr. Kiah was born in Norfolk and was retired from the Convention Center after 18 years. He was a former member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, Norfolk. He was a graduate of Norfolk State University and a Navy veteran. He was predeceased by his mother, Katie Smith Kiah, his father, Silas Kiah Sr. and a sister, Blanche Kiah Jones.

Survivors include four nephews, Alvin Jones, Gene Kiah, Patrick Jones, all of Chesapeake, and Curtis Kiah of Norfolk; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Metropolitan Funeral Service, Norfolk, by the Rev. Joseph Lassiter. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Family and friends will assemble at 3205 Moat Lane, Chesapeake, on Saturday at 1:45 p.m. for the funeral processional to the funeral home.
