Gertrude E. Thorner, 83, of the 100 block of Suburban Parkway, a retired LPN, died Feb. 15, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Thorner was born in Arlington, Va., and was the widow of George Bernard Thorner. She was a Catholic.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Bailey of Virginia Beach and Dianne Sayers of Atlanta, Ga.; three sons, James Sellers of Winchester, Va., Bruce Smallwood of Portland, Maine and Gary Smallwood of Atlanta; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling arrangements. The family may be contacted at the residence of the granddaughter, JoAnne Franklin, 305 W. Church St., Elizabeth City, N.C. 27909.
