James Bernard (Bootsie) Lassiter, Jr., 22, of the 2000 block of Blackwell Court, died Feb. 16, 1995, in Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Lassiter was born in Portsmouth. He was a former member of C.H. Mason, C.O.G.I.C., and was disabled.
Survivors include his parents, Deborah A. Forward of Virginia Beach and James B. Lassiter, Sr. of San Diego, Calif.; maternal grandparents, Charles S. Willoughby of Norfolk and Willie B. Willoughby Harrison of Chesapeake; paternal grandparent, Cora L. Williams of Norfolk; stepfather, Isiah Forward of Virginia Beach; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and a dear friend, Horace M. Briggs.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday at New Hope, C.O.G.I.C., Brest Avenue, by Dr. Herman Clark Sr. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
