Nell Lowe DeWitt, of the 4200 block of Griffin St., died Sunday, Feb. 19, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mrs. DeWitt was a native of Hertford County, N.C. She had retired from Leggett's Department Store as a sales clerk. She was a Baptist and was a member of Portsmouth Senior Citizens. She was predeceased by her parents, Charlie Harmon and Elizabeth Parker Harmon and was the widow of James E. DeWitt.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Loper of Fenton, Mich.; a son, Charles Lowe of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in Highland Memorial Gardens, Stoney Creek, N.C., by the Rev. Robert May. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, is handling arrangements. The family asks that flowers be omitted.
