Maurice Cleon Pickens, 77, of the 3900 block of Greenway Court North, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 1995, in his residence.
Mr. Pickens was a native of Cloverdale, Ind. He had retired from Crawford House Furniture as a salesman. He was a member of River Shore Baptist Church and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor H. Pickens; a daughter, Marsha A. Pickens of Chesapeake; a son, Michael A. Pickens of Portsmouth; and two brothers, Carl W. Pickens of Lakeland, Fla. and Doyle E. Pickens of Decatur, Ala.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, by Dr. William C. Russ and the Rev. Paul W. Parker. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of River Shore Baptist Church.
