LENIS M. BOYCE

Lenis Melvin Boyce, 88, of the 900 block of Bainbridge Blvd., died Feb. 19, 1995, in his Chesapeake residence.

Mr. Boyce was born in Tyner, N.C. He had retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member of South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church and Woodmen of the World.

Survivors include his wife, Cottie E. Boyce; three daughters, Alma Hensley of Virginia Beach, Doris Nelson of Denver, Colo., and Dorothy Munn of Norfolk; a son, James M. Boyce of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Oneida Dickerson of Tallahassee, Fla., and Marie Jacocks of Norfolk; two brothers, William Leroy Boyce of Palmdale, Fla., and James M. Boyce of Las Vegas, Nev.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church by the Rev. Willis Dowling. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk. The family will be at Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m.
