RALPH C. COLEMAN

Ralph Carleton Coleman, 85, formerly of Hartford St., died Feb. 18, 1995, in Virginia Beach.

Mr. Coleman was born in Newport News. He had retired from Seaboard Railroad and Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a supervisor shipfitter. He was the widower of Rubye M. Coleman and was a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Bonnie Lyons of Virginia Beach, Carole C. Conner of Richmond and Judith Coleman of Portsmouth; a son, Ralph C. Coleman Jr. of Chesapeake; five sisters, Ida Blayton of Atlanta, Roberta Freeman, Mary Digicomo and Shirley Schutt, all of Newport News and Marjorie Dobson of Pound, Va.; a brother, William S. Coleman of Virginia Beach; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Snellings Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, by the Rev. Kathryn Pigg. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
