Ruth Coleman Brown, 97, died Feb. 19, 1995, in Newport News.
Mrs. Brown was a native of Lynchburg, Va. She was the widow of George Henry Brown. She was a member of Park Place Baptist Church in Norfolk and had also taught in the Norfolk school system.
Survivors include a daughter, Jane B. Elmer and a son, Richard Coleman Brown M.D., both of Norfolk, Va.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Park Place Baptist Church by Dr. Paul B. Watlington Jr. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, is handling arrangements.
