Richard Joseph Tetlak Sr., 67, of the 700 block of Queen Elizabeth Drive, died Feb. 19, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Tetlak was born in Reading, Pa., and was a retired chief radioman for the U.S. Navy after 22 years of service. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Virginia Beach, and was a Navy veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta Johnson Tetlak; two daughters, Ann L. Tetlak and Mary L. Williams, both of Virginia Beach; three sons, Richard Jospeh Tetlak Jr., John F. Tetlak and Michael P. Tetlak, all of Virginia Beach; one sister, Virginia Turrisi of Reading, Pa.; one brother, Paul Tetlak of Reading, Pa.; four grandchildren; and one step-granddaughter.
The funeral will be conducted Thursday, Feb. 23, 1995, at 1 p.m. by Father James M. Noto in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel. Burial will be private. The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
